Pedal Power is a voluntary
campaigning group, formed in 1996, which aims to:
- Promote and encourage cycling as a means of transport
and leisure.
- Influence transport planning and city development
with a view to improving conditions for cyclists and
to implementing
the Derry Cycling Strategy.
- Contribute to the development of a healthy environment
for everyone in the Derry City Council Area
Sustrans
Sustrans is a civil engineering charity working in
partnership with local authorities to construct the
National Cycle
Network. Sustrans have appointed and funded a full
time Cycling Development Officer, Eamonn Brown who
is based
in the Derry City Council offices. You can find out

Riverside The Riverside route extends from the Foyle Bridge to the Craigavon Bridge along the West Bank of the river. Saturday 14 June - BorderTrek & FunTrek in the Sun Bike Week kicked off in glorious sunshine in Derry with BorderTrek and FunTrek setting off from the City Council offices, with the serious cyclists bound for Sligo and the not so serious for Letterkenny.
